Stanton Chase Leads AESC Pledge Against Racial, Social Injustice

Stanton Chase among Top 10 executive search firms to commit to action

Stanton Chase is proud to further stand by its commitment to action against racism, discrimination, and social injustice by signing a pledge for the AESC on the power of diverse talent and inclusive cultures.

“It is imperative that our industry lead the change in speaking out against racial injustice and supporting inclusion on leadership teams, and I’m proud we are at the forefront of this recently launched initiative,” says Stanton Chase International Chairman Mickey Matthews, who signed the pledge.

Stanton Chase was selected as one of the Top 10 firms in executive search to participate in the signing. The CEOs who signed the pledge dedicated themselves to furthering the four principles of Accelerating, Educating, Advancing, and Advocating with the aim of using their collective voices and actions to help create a world that is inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible to all.

One of the ways that Stanton Chase, as a leader in the global search and leadership consulting industry, has committed itself to this initiative is by forming a global forum with the other firms to develop and deploy progressive strategies to ensure access, education, and mentoring through a partnership with the McKinsey Academy.

To spearhead this effort, Jeff Perkins, Managing Director of the Stanton Chase Washington, D.C. office, will represent Stanton Chase in this partnership. Part of his mandate includes ensuring Board and CHRO placements are diverse. “With only 10% of Directors on the Boards of Russell 3000 companies being diverse, it makes business sense that leadership better represent the diversity of America. I’m excited to be a part of the change and serve in this capacity,” Perkins says. His appointment comes after a long history of diversity placements in searches and on Boards.
