Tamara earned a master’s degree in molecular biology and biostatistics from the Catholic University of Leuven. She also holds a doctoral degree in medical sciences from UZ Gasthuisberg Leuven, with a specialization in hepatology. Following her doctoral studies, she received support through an FWO post-doctoral scholarship.

Tamara believes success is a test of endurance and embodies this belief in her free time as well, being an avid marathon runner. She recently completed the Boston Marathon.
