Remco Franzen is a Partner in the Amsterdam office of Stanton Chase with extensive domestic and international experience on assignments in financial services and global commodity markets.
He started his career in the international network of ABN Amro and subsequently worked in Sri Lanka with oversight for the branch’s operations and in Taiwan where he was charged with the management of multinational accounts and the corporate finance offering.
Remco then joined ING Group and held commercial specialist positions in structured and project finance out of Amsterdam and Singapore. In 1999, he returned to the Netherlands as ING Bank’s head of branch-management in SME banking. In 2006, he joined Barclays in London to lead the commercial banking segment as its global head, with responsibility for clients, distribution and products.
Remco is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German. He holds a MA in Law from Leiden University (1987) and a MBA from INSEAD (1992).
