Mario Bilbao

Mario Bilbao, an Associate Director at Stanton Chase Spain in Basque Country, possesses more than 25 years of experience in human resources management and has a proven track record of leading multinational companies in various sectors, including telecommunications, aeronautics, automotive, and insurance. He has worked in diverse cultural environments, both in family-owned companies and local and multinational companies.

Mario has extensive knowledge of all key areas of people management, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and internal reorganization processes. He has held various leadership roles in organizational and human resources management for over 20 years, building strong teams, aligning them to meet organizational goals, and managing talent to drive business success. His experience enables him to specialize in advising and supporting large and medium-sized companies in the industrial and service sectors.

Mario started his career in the industrial sector with ArcelorMittal and Alcor and later progressed to senior positions in the service sector, assuming top human resources management roles at Liberty Seguros, Euskaltel, and ZTE Managed Services Southern Europe. He has extensive experience in hiring executives for senior management positions and creating and improving teams, both nationally and internationally.

Mario holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a diploma in economics from Deusto University and also has several postgraduate degrees in human resource management and two MBA degrees from UPV-EHU and Deusto Business School. In addition to his native Spanish, Mario is fluent in English and has some proficiency in Basque and French.
