Greg Preston

Greg Preston is a Partner in the Denver and Perth Offices at Stanton Chase and has over 20 years of experience in executive search. Greg’s primary focus is executive search for senior technical, operational, and project leadership roles within the natural resources and energy sectors.

Before joining Stanton Chase, Greg operated a boutique search practice with a strong focus on the Australian mining sector and its projects and operations offshore. Prior to that, he held a global strategic advisory role with a Tier One EPCM firm and consulted in Australia, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific for BHP, Rio Tinto, and Vale.

Through his years serving the global natural resources sector, Greg has gained critical experience across a range of commodities including hydrocarbons, copper, gold, graphite, iron ore, lithium (carbonate and hydroxide), potash, rare earths, and nickel (laterite and sulphide). Coupled with extensive experience in the engineering sector, Greg is extremely well positioned to assist clients with the most difficult of global searches.

Greg holds a BA in Political Science and History and is undertaking an MA in International Relations and National Security. He has been a Board Member at a local bank, and he enjoys weight training and boxing in his spare time.
