Fiona Lavan is a Managing Director at Stanton Chase Australia. She has been in the executive search industry since 1988 and became an equity partner of Stanton Chase in 1998. In 2011, she was appointed to the Global Board as Vice Chair Regions and Regional Vice President Asia Pacific, roles she held until the end of 2014. She returned to the Global Board from 2019 to 2021 and currently serves as the Global Sector Leader for Agribusiness. Additionally, she is a member of the Global Governance Committee of Stanton Chase.

Fiona has conducted searches for clients in various sectors, including agribusiness, financial services, industrial, social impact (government, education, and non-profit), life sciences and healthcare, and logistics and transportation, with a focus on port and rail management. Her expertise spans across Australia, the Pacific, and Asia. She has also developed a strong practice in appointing boards to state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and other public and private sector organizations. Fiona is a member of Chief Executive Women and a former member of the executive search working group of the 30% Club in Australia.

Prior to her career in executive search, Fiona’s professional background was in investment banking. She spent several years working in both corporate banking and international treasury with Australian, Japanese, and British banks. She holds a degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Monash University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Fiona is actively engaged in community activities. She serves as a Director of the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove and is a past member of the Australian Red Cross Fundraising Committee. She frequently volunteers on the Vinnies Night Patrol food truck and provides breakfast to the homeless through the Early Bird Café in Sydney CBD.
