Ivo A. Hahn

Ivo, a Swiss national, has been living in Asia since 1982. In 1999 he founded Xecutive Group Limited and is President and CEO.

In 2007, Xecutive became the exclusive Stanton Chase Partner for Greater China, operating from three regional offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and with plans to further expand into Taiwan and Singapore. In the same year, Mediazone ranked Xecutive for the 3rd consecutive year among Hong Kong's Most Valuable Companies 2007.

Before establishing Stanton Chase Greater China (previously operating as Xecutive), Ivo was Country Head, Executive Search & Selection Greater China, with PA Consulting Group. He is also a certified user of SHL and Cubiks' PAPI psychometric assessment tools. He held several senior management, sales and marketing positions in a broad spectrum of industries including fast moving consumer goods, luxury goods, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, building materials and machinery systems for various manufacturing industries.

Ivo's extensive knowledge of Asia combined with his broad experience in a diverse range of industries and senior line functions enable him to advise Stanton Chase clients on all relevant aspects of managing businesses in Asia and their implications towards key executive appointments.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Ivo speaks German, French and English. He graduated from the Swiss Federal School of Commerce, and majored in Marketing and Economics at IMD Switzerland. His wife is Hong Kong born and they have together two sons.

Ivo is Director of the SwissCham Hong Kong, member of the American, French, German and Italian Chambers of Commerce and Associate of the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies.

Jean-Benoit Kaeppelin

Jean-Benoit has over 25 years of international experience in operational and human resources management and joined his present company in 2002. After a career in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Jean-Benoit joined the LVMH group in 1977, taking up senior management assignments in several group companies including Christian Dior, Lacroix, Givenchy as Regional Director Asia Pacific, Managing Director of several business units in Europe and Asia and, as of 1990, the role as International Director.

He then joined the Holding company of the LVMH group as Director of Development of the organisations. Two years later, he was appointed Vice President of Human Resources of LVMH group for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.

During this period, Jean-Benoit built up solid management experience in the consumer goods industry and conducted major restructuring projects worldwide including the organizational development for recruitment of senior managers, international mobility, coaching and compensation and benefits programs.

A French national, Jean-Benoit graduated from the Institute of International and Diplomatic Affairs, the Institute for Foreign Trade (Institut Supérieur du Commerce Extérieur in Paris) and majored at the INSEAD (Fontainebleau) in Paris. He speaks French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Arabic. He has been appointed Advisor to the French Government for Export Trade for the last 15 years.

Brent Wang

Consultant

Brent joined the Shanghai office of Stanton Chase International as a Consultant, having previously worked within the executive search industry and in sales at an MNC500 chemical company for several years in China.

He is focused on industrial manufacturing, specializing in chemical, oil and gas, and clean energy (wind, water treatment and coal chemical). Brent maintains close contacts with these industries which enables him to identify top performers within these sectors.

Prior to joining Stanton Chase International, Brent worked in both international and local search firms, specializing in talent acquisition for chemical, oil and gas, and clean energy industry.

He acquired extensive experience and knowledge in terms of senior level searches and has a proven track record of exceeding client expectations, catering to the needs of local and global multinational organizations.

Brent’s mother tongue is Mandarin Chinese and he is also fluent in English. He graduated with a Bachelor in Business Management from East China Normal University.

Jason Su

Based in Shanghai, Jason has over twenty years’ of industrial experience in HR functions including recruitment and executive search.  

Jason joined Stanton Chase International in 2013 and his initial focused area covers industrial manufacturing and professional services.

Prior to joining Stanton Chase in Shanghai, Jason had worked in various HR functions for a number of MNCs, including Shell, Logitech, UCB, and Cytec contributing to the companies’ talent acquisition, retention and development of HR initiatives for their internal business partners. Externally, Jason’s executive search experience started from 2000 when he worked as a senior consultant at a consulting firm. From there he accumulated experience in helping clients recruit functional leaders and professionals.

Jason is also a qualified trainer. He has 10 years of working experience as a lecturer in Shanghai University and later the HR training roles in the MNCs. He is good at communication, employee counseling and business partnership.

A Chinese native, Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a certificate of completing a visiting instructors’ program from a University of British Columbia, Canada. Jason speaks fluent Chinese and English.

Kate Huang

Kate has been in executive search industry since her graduation. She started her career with an international executive search firm focusing on placing senior and executive level talents. During this period, she gained thorough and extensive knowledge of the search industry and had exposure to many different sectors of activity.

Kate joined Stanton Chase International in 2007. She has since been engaged in a variety of executive search mandates, covering a diverse range of industry sectors including Industrial, Government, Education and Non Profit, Financial Service, Professional Service, Technology, Logistics and Transportation as well as Life Sciences and Healthcare. She has successfully completed many senior management positions in General Management, Operation, Sales and Marketing and Finance, such as GM North Asia, MD China, Asia CFO, Chief Risk Officer, Site GM etc. In view of her assessment capabilities, in-depth knowledge about the main developing sectors in China and her excellent communication skills, she quickly gains trust from both candidates and clients.

She has proven herself as a real contributor to the company and was appointed Associate Consultant resulting from her outstanding performance. Kate holds a Bachelor Degree of Arts (major in Journalism) from Shanghai University and speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

Luca Ye

Luca has significant experience in executive search in China. Her experience mainly covers industrial manufacturing including automotive, rail, aerospace, machinery, instrumentation, and equipment. In 2010, Luca joined Stanton Chase International in Shanghai in as a Search Director.

Prior to joining the Stanton Chase Shanghai team, Luca was Consulting Manager at MRI China, specialized in talent acquisition for the China automotive industry. Having extensive experience and understanding of senior level search, she brings a proven track record of delivering on client expectations and completing both local and global multinational organizational needs as well.

After gaining 8 years of working experience both domestically and overseas, Luca started recruiting in 2004. Specializing in the automotive and manufacturing industry, she has built a network of contacts at all levels. She actively keeps up to date with the industry and can find top performers who are not initially looking for a new role.

Luca has successfully completed search assignments for Regional Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, General Managers, Business Development Executives, Financial Professionals, Operational, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering & Marketing Directors, for automotive OEM, tier suppliers and professional service suppliers. She has successfully placed more than 100 candidates with 33 clients in 6 years. She knows how to find and locate qualified candidates to meet your staffing needs quickly and efficiently.

A native of China, Luca holds an MBA degree from Reims Management School in France and Bachelor degree in Precise Instrument from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. Luca is fluent in Mandarin and English, and also speaks French. Luca is the proud mother of a beautiful little girl.

Matthias Spring

Born in Germany, Matthias started his professional career within the banking industry in 1969 in Frankfurt. In 1984, he decided to move to Sydney, Australia to take over the position of chief dealer corporate foreign exchange with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

He held senior management positions in several German and international banks, including Barclays Bank (Trade finance), Bank of Tokyo (Head money market), Nord LB and Simon Bank (Manager foreign exchange). In 1989, he joined the German Consulate General in Sydney as the head of the economic section.

During this period he gained a thorough and extensive knowledge of all aspects of international banking and trade-related matters in a wide range of industries in Europe and Australasia, with a special focus on manufacturing, transportation, technology, project finance and trade promotion.

In 1997, he returned to Germany to take over a large restitution case of a manufacturing and retail company. He holds the position of a court appointed receiver in this company since 2000 and realized a first substantial payout from the German Government in 2007.

Matthias can look back on nearly 37 years of experience in international banking and trade-related matters in multinational corporations, combined with a solid understanding of the working of industry and government organizations, in all aspects of international trade. Through the handling of the restitution, he gained an above average exposure to dealings with government departments and courts on state and federal level in a highly complex legal/economic case.

He holds a qualification as Bankkaufmann (Certification of Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Frankfurt). Mathias is fluent in German and English. He visited China on a regular basis since 1995 before moving to Shanghai in September of 2007.

Sylvia Zuercher

Asia Pacific Regional Practice Leader – Industrial

Sylvia has been living in Hong Kong since 1984. She started her professional career in 1973 and previously held senior positions in sales, marketing, and management in various fields, both in Hong Kong and the Philippines.

In 1984 Sylvia relocated to Hong Kong to take up the position as Consultant of a marketing, consulting and research company. In 1987, she joined Far East Media Hong Kong as Sales Manager, focusing on the Retail Industry.

Sylvia subsequently took up the role of General Manager with a Swiss trading company engaged in the export and import business. In 1992, the company was acquired by Asia Network Limited, where she continued her previous activities. Sylvia had gained extensive experience in various fields prior to joining executive search business in 2001.

At Stanton Chase, Sylvia is specializing in the areas of Industrial, Consumer Products and Services, and Technology. She successfully delivers first class talents to clients in various industry sectors ranging from capital and industrial equipment/machine manufacturing and systems, chemicals, engineering, instrumentation, paper and packaging, process industries/metallurgy, 4-C industries (communication/ telecommunication, computer, consumer electronics, and car electronics), garment and textiles, luxury goods, trading, distribution and others.

A certified user of MPA, OPQ (SHL) and PAPI (Cubics) psychometric assessments, Sylvia is dynamic, likes to accept new challenges and is highly committed to her clients. Sylvia is currently the Regional Practice Leader, Industrial Sector, representing Stanton Chase across Asia Pacific.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Sylvia speaks English and Tagalog, in addition to basic German. She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Commercial Science, majoring in Management and subsequently obtained a Certificate in Marketing Management sponsored by the HKMA
