Stanton Chase International Holds
39th Global Partners' Meeting in Dubai

Executive Search Firm Announces The Opening of Three New Offices; Tackles Key Issues of Managing a Global Business
Through World Recession

Dallas, Texas, June 9, 2009

Under the theme "A Symphony of Growth in C Major", Stanton Chase International, a top-ten retained executive search firm, recently held its 39th global partners' meeting in Dubai. The meeting focused on managing a global business through world recession and the impact on management talent. In addition, Stanton Chase announced the opening of three new offices, located in Sofia, Bulgaria; Lagos, Nigeria; and Toronto, Canada.

"We were very pleased to have hosted our International Partners meeting in Dubai due to the importance of this emerging Middle East market for our clients, to better feel, learn and experience the culture of the Region," said Steve Watson, international chairman of Stanton Chase. "We were fortunate to have the opportunity to meet several CEO's and managing directors in the region, and to better understand the business climate and value here."

A number of discussions and breakout sessions were held by industry experts and some key points covered included:

  • Today is simply a break in a speed race; the war for talent is still there.
  • Western thinking today is about cost cutting and reductions in staff, when it should be about looking at growth markets.
  • Relationship with employees should be based on long term employment. Human Resources focus should be on recruiting talent and retention.
  • Management should build relationships with employees and focus on tenure.
  • Companies today need to innovate, and the key question is how quickly can companies execute innovation.
  • CEO's need to identify future leaders, review them regularly, and put them in career developing positions to broaden their skills. Management should be about coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
  • The world has changed: when you make a decision, it can have global impact
